FABRICA won the award for Best Low or Zero Carbon Initiative, presented for the UK’s first eco town, Elmsbrook, which launched earlier this year.

To add to the group’s success, A2Dominion was crowned Best Medium Housebuilder after facing some difficult competition from other major developers at the Housebuilder Awards 2015 event in London on 5th November, hosted by comedian Tim Vine.

FABRICA made it as a finalist for two other categories including Best Design (four storeys or more) for the City Wharf development situated alongside the canal in London’s Old Street district, and Best Regeneration initiative for Stanwell New Start regeneration project in Spelthorne.

John Knevett, A2Dominion's Group Commercial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive, said:

“We are delighted to have been presented with these two top awards in recognition of our achievements over the past year. Our heritage goes back over 70 years, but recent times have seen us significantly grow and diversify our development programme. We’re now delivering hundreds of sustainable new homes each year across London and the South East. We introduced our new FABRICA brand at the start of 2015 to support our growing portfolio of homes for sale, private rent and shared ownership, selling over 75% of all properties launched to date under FABRICA. With many exciting and innovative already schemes under way, including Elmsbrook at NW Bicester and the UK’s tallest residential brick tower at Keybridge House, with Mount Anvil, we have a very exciting future ahead.”

The Housebuilder Awards both recognise and reward excellence in the housebuilding sector. The awards are organised by Housebuilder magazine and have gained support from the National House Building Council (NHBC) and the Home Builders Federation (HBF).
